We are all getting used to the new safety measures all businesses have put in place around Glasgow.
At Enhance, we are no different and we have made a number of changes to the way we work and going by all the feedback we are receiving, you all feel safe and are enjoying your visits which are our two main aims.
Here's a few of the changes you will see when you visit us. These all apply to anyone in the salon including clients and team members...
Booking Fees
Booking fees are normally non refundable within 48hrs of your appointment. If you have to cancel due to COVID symptoms or if we have to close due to Government Guidelines then your booking fee will be transferred to your next appointment.
No Waiting Area
We ask you to wait outside until your Therapist or Stylist greets you.
Masks
We are all used to wearing these by now and we expect everyone to wear one at all times during your visit. If you do not want to wear your own then of course we can provide one for you.
Sanitiser Everywhere
Before you even enter the salon we ask everyone to sanitise your hands at our sanitising station at the front door. There are also hand sanitiser bottles throughout the salon which you may use at any time. We also ask everyone to sanitise hands on their departure from the salon too.
Covid Forms
You will be sent a Covid form 24hrs before their appointment. This asks if you have any three symptoms to reschedule your appointment, self isolate and book a test.
Our whole team have also filled these out too and will not be permitted into the salon if they have any symptom at all.
Temperature Check
Clients & Team Members Temperature will be checked on arrival. If it is above 100 degrees fahrenheit or 38 degrees celsius then you will be asked to go home, self isolate and book a test.
Separated Areas
As our salon is smaller we have reduced the number of seats and we have used screens to split the remaining sections up. This means you will be in your own little section away from other clients, although we know how much we all to chat to each other so our screens are see through so you can still talk away to everyone while feeling safe.
Minimal Belongings
We recommend you bring very minimal amount of belongings with you as we can not store anything for and you have to keep all belongings with you. However we do have trays for your mobile and keys and a plastic bag for your jacket if needed.
PPE
If your service requires additional PPE then you will be provided with this once you are in your own section. For example for a hair appointment you will be given a disposable gown and towel.
Team Members
All team members will be wearing a mask at all times. In addition to this some may wear a visor. When working with a client they will also be wearing a disposable apron. Gloves are not essential unless the treatment requires them. This is because hand washing is more effective.
In the background
Although we have tried to make most of our changes visual to help make you feel safe during your visit there will be some things you wont see but are still contributing towards keeping you safe.

We have reduced the amount of people in the salon at any time by changing the teams working hours, staggering their start and finish times and we have reduced the amount of clients allowed in with each team member each day.

We have added an additional 15 mins onto each appointment to allow our team to change PPE and thoroughly clean the area they just worked in

Anything used on a client is either sprayed or soaked in a high level disinfectant cleaning solution before being used again.
As you can see we have had loads of changes in the salon however what hasn't changed is that all our clients are enjoying their appointment with us and are happy to be getting some kind of normality back into their lives.
